Free On-Site Musical Instrument Assessments 2022

The summer break is coming up, and that means we are making preparations for summer repair season.

To help get your school’s instrument stock ready for the 2023 school year, we have put together a killer deal for you! We are offering a free, on-site assessment of your woodwind and brass instrument stock in Term 4 of 2022. That’s right, we’ll visit you at your school and assess your instruments. There will be no charge for this service and no pressure to commit to anything.

1. Is Your School Eligible?

1. You must have a minimum of 10 instruments for us to assess.

2. Your school/institution must fall within a certain map area. Click this link and check the map to see if we can visit you: so long as your school/institution falls within the yellow area, you’re good to go.

2. Let Us Do The Running Around

1. On the day of our visit to your school/institution, we will assess the instruments you have ready for us. On the spot, we will provide you with a brief report of our findings, and give you an estimated cost for each instrument requiring work.

2. If you decide to proceed, we will offer to bring your instruments back to our workshop in Wollongong – free of charge. We are fully insured to transport instruments, so you can rest assured that your instruments will arrive safely back in Wollongong.

3. Over the course of the summer break, we will service your instruments so they are ready for the new school year.

4. Once they are ready to be returned to you, we will drop your instruments back to your school – again at no extra charge.

3. Free Report

For each instrument we service and/or repair, you will receive a free report outlining exactly what we have done to your instrument. This is invaluable for record keeping.

4. Standard Service or Micro Service?

Every school and music teacher benefits from a 10% discount on labour and any product in our store. But wait, there is more!

For schools only, we offer a “micro service” for those instruments that don’t require a full service. What does this mean?

Not every school instrument may need a complete service each year. You likely have some instruments sitting in your storeroom that were serviced last year, and have not been used since. Most of these instruments don’t require more than a clean, oiling, and a few small adjustments. This service takes much less time than a full service, which in turn will result in a cost saving.

5. How Much Will It Cost?

Our pricing structure has 3 parts to it: a labour fee, a flat fee for sundries, and the cost of parts (if any are used, of course).

Unlike many of our competitors, our labour fees are set, so you know exactly what you can expect to pay for the labour component of each job.
