The Chedeville SAV Clarinet Mouthpiece combines the best qualities of Chedeville’s Umbra and Elite models. The SAV has the beautiful dark warmth of the Umbra with the free blowing clean articulation of the Elite.
Chedeville took everything they have learned from their previous mouthpieces and rolled them into one amazing mouthpiece that is priced so that serious students can afford it. The SAV comes at a slightly lower lower price than the Umbra and the Elite, simply because Chedeville is not using their proprietary Chedeville Rubber. By using the industry standard German Hard Rubber, Chedeville is able to pass on significant savings to the customer.
This mouthpiece is produced using the same same manufacturing methods as Chedeville uses on their high-end models. As a result, there is great confidence in the sound, feel and consistency of this mouthpiece.
The Chedeville SAV mouthpieces are started off from rod rubber. They are manufactured from beginning to end in the Chedeville factory in Savannah, Georgia, using state of the art CNC machines and expert mouthpiece craftsmen and women on the crucial and indispensable hand-work.
If you were always a fan of the now discontinued BG B1 and B2 clarinet mouthpieces, then here is your alternative. Together with Mark Walton, one of Australia’s most respected clarinet and saxophone educators, we went looking for an alternative to the BG mouthpieces, and settled on these very beautiful Chedeville mouthpieces. Tip opening #2 is a fantastic alternative to the BG B1, and tip opening #1 will serve as a brilliant alternative to the BG B2.
In Mark Walton’s own words:
The Chedeville SAV mouthpiece makes you feel at one with your instrument. This mouthpiece produces a rich warm flexible tone that lets your musical imagination fly.
