All songs are written in a simplified, easy to use notation system. The book contains appendices on reading standard musical notation, and how to play along with CD’s and other musicians.

The book is designed to be used with a 10-hole C major diatonic harmonica – good examples include the Hohner Marine Band, Hohner Golden Melody, Lee Oskar, Huang Silvertone Deluxe, or Huang Star Performer harmonicas.
