My Jody Jazz Power Ring Ligature for Clarinet is beautiful in sterling silver. The ligature is so easy to use. No more fiddling with screws while the slippery synthetic reeds slide all over the mouthpiece table! Simply line up your reed and you're done as the Power Ring slides down a mere mm or so to firmly hold the reed in place. This has been a saviour for my ever worsening double vision as my eyes age.
I find the Jody Jazz HR* 6 tip opening perfect for jazz/pop/ballads. It has a lovely warm tone with high clarity. It also has even consistency throughout the range. I have paired it with Legere European Cut 2.50 reed. It is effortless to play. I find it similar to and an improvement on Vandoren 5JB which as an almost identical tip opening. The HR* 6 has better projection, better clarity, better response, and a warmer, welcoming tone. What more can I say? I like It. Plus LCWB's outstanding service in obtaining and delivering my desired tip opening with smooth efficiency was much appreciated!
