A Better Posture from the Start

Many players tilt their heads and angle the bell downwards to relieve some of the instrument’s weight through a neck strap. Unfortunately, this curved posture creates strain over time and closes off your airways. With the ERGOsax support, you can keep the bell angled upwards toward your audience and still stay completely relaxed.

Float the Horn, Free the Body

The ERGOsax Soprano Saxophone Support uses a lightweight spring-loaded support rod and a patented attachment system (affectionately called the ERGOPenguin) that connects to your soprano’s neck strap ring. The Penguin head floats on top of the spring, allowing your saxophone to move smoothly in all directions while removing the static tension from your right hand, thumb, and upper body.

Customisable Feel

You can easily adjust how flexible or firm the support feels by changing the height of the Penguin head on the rod. Set it higher for a smooth, floating sensation, or lower for a more solid and stable response. The built-in spring absorbs movement and makes playing feel lighter and more fluid.

Two Ways to Anchor the Support

You can use the ERGOsax while seated by anchoring the support rod to a chair, or use a belt pouch to hold the bottom of the rod when standing. Either way, the weight of the saxophone is taken off your body and transferred elsewhere, giving your hands and arms more freedom.

Optional Neck Strap for Extra Stability

Even though the ERGOsax carries most of the weight, a neck strap or harness can add peace of mind and balance. A small ring on the Penguin allows you to attach your strap to maintain the right playing angle while keeping your neck relaxed.
