What Are Damage & Corrective Repairs?

Our musical instrument damage repair in Wollongong addresses structural or mechanical issues that prevent an instrument from functioning correctly.

These are not routine servicing tasks and usually require assessment before any work can proceed.

Unlike routine servicing, this work focuses on correcting faults caused by impact, misuse, or mechanical failure. Each repair requires individual assessment and cannot be standardised or pre-priced without inspection.

What This Service Includes

Damage and Corrective Repairs include work such as straightening bent parts, correcting alignment issues, freeing seized mechanisms, and repairing broken components.

Each repair is assessed individually based on the condition of the instrument.

What This Service Doesn't Include

Damage and Corrective Repairs are not a substitute for servicing.

If an instrument is due for a Play Condition Service, a Comprehensive Service, or an overhaul, that work is handled separately.

When Is This Service Suitable?

This service is suitable when an instrument has damage or mechanical problems such as bent keys, dents, stuck parts, or components that are broken or out of alignment.

If the instrument also has widespread wear or reliability issues, servicing may be required in addition to the repair work.

Assessment & Quoting

Damage and Corrective Repairs are not time-bounded and cannot be pre-priced without assessment.

Each instrument is inspected before work begins, and the required repair work is discussed before proceeding.

Parts & Pricing Policy

Damage and Corrective Repairs are charged as labour, based on the work required.

Replacement parts are charged separately if required.
